Music Multi-Camera pitch

Multi - camera production

Programme format:

Title show:

The title I chosen for my show is Starlite, the reason that I have chosen this is because it insinuates that the music on the show we will of different genres and the type of music that will make you stop and listen rather than the music you play in the background whilst doing other things. The yellow heightens the colour making it more noticeable to the audience so they are more likely to remember the name due to the fact it stands out.

Content ideas
Audience:
The age group for the audience is 14 - 20. The show would not have a specific genre to it as the audience will have a range of different tastes in music so it will have to apply to all of them, in order for the show to do that the entertainment parts of the show should have information about the other genres and any upcoming news that they likely have for example concerts, a new single or new album.

Presenters:
The show will have two presenters one male and one female as the audience will respond better to this as the girls are more likely to be able to relate the the female presenter and the boys to the male presenter, it will also mean that any interests the girls have the female presenter is likely to bring it up during the show and the same goes for the boys and the male presenter. The presenters should also be comfortable with one another as they have to have a good rapport and the conversation between then should be comfortable and flow, the presenters show also banter and joke around to keep the atmosphere light.

Guests:
The guests of the show that will be interviewed are artists that are talking about their latest single and the music video or may just appear in the video which will shown during the show, they will also be questioned one any upcoming tours and concerts, they will also be asked how the career is going and if it is like they thought it would be. The audience will also be able to get involved as can send in questions that they want the artist to answer.

Competitions:
The show will also contain competitions which will be placed throughout the show, the first competition will be for the audience who can win tickets to an upcoming festival. The next competition is between the two guests on the show who will see how could they can match baby photos to the artist now seeing who can do it the fastest and the last competition is between one guest and one presenter on what happened in the show and specific parts of the music video.

Running order
The running order of the show which start with the graphic of the show's name and then it will begin with the presenters introducing themselves and giving a brief summary of what will happen on the show so that the audience can have a brief idea of what they can look forward to. It will then it will cut to the guests and the presenters showing them introducing themselves to one another, the interview will consist of their career, lifestyle and anything interesting coming up after that they will show the artists music video which they will also ask questions about the music video and what inspired the lyrics. After this it will go to the competition where the audience can win two tickets to the iTunes festival which they can enjoy with a friend, this will then lead on to a pre-recorded segment which will have the latest celebrity and music news for all genres. The quests will then go head to head on game called "Match the artists" the game will consist of pictures of other artists and baby pictures of the artists and they have to match as many as they can in 1 minute, once they have finished this it will go into the Top 10 songs in the charts at the moment so the audience can have a roundup of what is happening in the charts, shortly after this there will be a pop quiz of what happened on the show between one of the guests and one of the presenters. Once they have finished it will go to questions asked by the audience and the show will finish with another music video.

Studio design

Sketch of background:
The colour scheme will be bright and catchy to the eye, the main colours would be blue, white and black as it will stand out and will make the audience feel bright and happy. The background will also consist of pictures of music notes and some song lyrics, so the audience know what the show is about. There may also be a music stand of to the side with maybe some music sheets on it.

The layout of the studio will be like this, the two pink dots are going to be where the presenters sit which will either be a sofa or director chairs and will will turned slightly so you can see them both on the opposite side is where the guests will sit. The blue circle in between will be table with glasses or maybe musical notes scattered across it to enhance the feeling of it being a music show. The two yellow dots in the image will be where the lights go so that it makes everything seem brighter keeping the atmosphere light and relaxed, then the black rectangles are the cameras, the one in the middle will be the long shot and the other two will face either the presenters or the guests.

Visual style:

Graphics
The graphics of the show should be bold and colourful, this is because it will instantly catch the eye of the audience as its for the target audience which is 14 - 20 so the colours have to be bright so they stand out but they also have to apply to both genders so it would have to be a mix of colours. The graphics need to stand out or it may portray a formal show which will instantly turn the attention away from the right audience, the graphics also need to be on the screen when introducing the presenters and the guests so they remember who they are, they should also be on the screen when the competition happens so the audience can clearly see what the question is.

Camera movement
The camera movement of the show should be varied during the show as they would need to be able to capture the reactions of either the guest or the presenters when they say something big or something shocking, they would also need quite a few close ups so that the audience can form a relationship with the guest and it will be easier for the audience to pick up on what is happening. The camera movement should also flow otherwise it will look as though its jumbled and could confuse the audience as they will not be able to keep up with what is happening, the use of other cameras also help as they can catch any other moments we would have not caught on the main camera and we can quickly edit it into the show.

Presentation style
The presentation of the show will be informal as it more likely to get the younger audiences attention rather than the presenters speaking formally as they will easily lose interest in the show and zone out on what is happening on the show. The audience for the show is 14 - 20 show the show needs to fun and exciting so that they are able to relate to the topics of interest on the show for example they could talk about all the music genres so that everyone has something they are interested in, the rapport between the guests and presenters should be relaxed and calm as they should show that they enjoy the presence of one another making even the audience feel relaxed.
